Cabins and Other Wilderness Relics
of the Sierra Nevada Mountains

by Bill Finch

Cabins and other structures and relics are usually unexpected in the wilderness and they add spice and intrigue to an area. Who built that cabin? Why was that plaque placed at that remote lake? When were miners digging into that mountain?

This page contains photos and descriptions of a few of these reminders of times past in the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada Range. It was originally posted more than 20 years ago and somehow got lost in the shuffle from one webpage host to another.
